Problem Note 41027: The SCD Type 2 Loader transformation fails or experiences performance problems

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When using a SCD Type 2 Loader transformation to load data into a relational database (RDBMS) or a SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server®, errors or performance problems can occur due to one or more of the following issues:

  1. Performance is compromised because indexes are not being created on temporary tables, even though the option Create an index on the temporary tables used to update the target table is set to Yes.
  2. The job fails because the code that is generated contains table references in the format schema.tablename instead of tablename when the target is an Oracle table.
  3. The job fails due to errors because the code attempts to create indexes on temporary tables after data is loaded, when indexes must be created prior to data load.
